In the past year FBI Special Agent Adam Clay's life has changed drastically. Ten months ago he began the investigation into the murder of Kali Callahan. He didn't know the search for her killer would become the case of his lifetime. Now as the sun rises he looks out across Cold Harbor at Richmond Battlefield. In front of him stands the crowd of reporters jockeying for position. Behind him, the location where the body of a man was found in a Union Civil War uniform with a gaping wound to the chest. Beside him, his partner, FBI Special Agent John Duncan shuffles his feet. Something in the back of his mind causes him to think this might be one of those cases. The lights come on and he steps up to the microphone. "Good morning. My name is Agent Adam Clay of the Richmond, Virginia FBI Office. Beside me is Agent John Duncan, head of the Richmond FBI Forensic Team. I will give a brief statement and then open the microphone to questions."
