The letter that Tristan read from his parents the day after his sixteenth birthday told him they were abandoning him "For his protection." The lack of a reason leaves Tristan feeling empty and alone, causing insomnia and a need to avoid being in his unwelcoming home.Tristan turns to his friend and love interest Addie for support, while helping her in her times of need.
