We spend valuable times in our lives complaining about our trials and tribulations, not realizing we are here to live out our dreams, our best life, our only life. The Roman poet Horace used the famous phrase 'Carpe Diem' to express the idea that one should enjoy life while one can, in the here and now. Bad strategies are everywhere and have been responsible for the collapse of companies over the years. Despite its prevalence, strategists have failed to notice the signs until it became too late, and they had to pay experts to make it go away. A wrong strategy is a combination of several misconceptions and specific leadership abnormalities. I never look at the disruptions in my life as turmoil. Perspective can change your life and, more so, lead your actions. Because, if you notice, we all are going through tough times, one way or the other. The troubles we face lead us to a destination we would not have reached had we sailed smoothly, and the storm had not re-directed our ship. When we set out to the coast, we stay prepared for the possibility of a shift occurring.Similarly, our lives are bound to face a shift, change us, bring us back to the right track, teach us strength, or lead us to a destination that we would not have been able to reach had we followed our original route. I figured everything that occurs in life takes place for a reason which led me to realize I had two choices. Either I could sulk in my miseries and let my past dictate my future or take back control and lead my life the way I want. What I then understood was that what has happened has now happened. I understood that I had no choice except one, which was to accept it. That was then divided into the following options I had; the alternative to either look at it positively or negatively made me realize that I was in power this entire time. The troubles clouded it, I went through it, but I still had control. It was simply taken away. What I did then was taking back control. Both the choices I had initially were tough. However, there is a reason the former option is more tempting. It is tempting because it provides a form of comfort, a knowingness. Though it is powerful and life-changing is not promising, it does not involve a solid plan.
