The first full-length feature of popular silent comedian Harry Langdon has him competing in the Burton Shoes' first annual cross-country walking race. Throughout the competition, Harry sees the lovely visage of Burton's daughter (Joan Crawford) on large posters plastered along the route. It doesn't take long for the funnyman to fall head-over-heels with her. Along the way, Harry gets into all kinds of trouble -- including a near-death experience with a herd of sheep and a steep cliff.
