"Tales of the Servants" is a companion book to the main novels in the series "Those in Darkness Lost". These tales delve further into the events and people which form the History of the People, or simply the History. In this volume the early history of the People is covered, from the time of the Choosing thru the Migration (which the Terrans call the Arrival) up to Jeket's training under and his flight from Fan'drangon the Red. More volumes are being compiled to cover other events of interest.
