THEY CALL ME THE LOU REED OF POETRY got it’s title from the comments of an audience member one Saturday afternoon in a pub hosting spoken word. The book is a series of short, untitled poems some of which are based around legends of the music industry. The poems are strong on imagery, some read like pop songs, written in cafes and parks and filled with the lives of ordinary people.
