In light of recent discoveries in quantum physics and relativity theory, the theory of material realism can no longer be considered a viable explanation for how the universe functions. A rational explanation of reality must by necessity be a synthesis of modern scientific observations with the metaphysics of oneness (the Unity Principle). The author argues that consciousness is the ground substance of creation and explains in detail how consciousness is transformed into Cosmic Mind, and then into energy and matter, and finally into living organisms and man. In order to complete the Cosmic Cycle, man must recognize his true place in the cosmos and enter onto the path of knowledge so that he may fulfill his destiny of union with the Creator.
