Spence and Maggie, both single in their 50s, have found each other. Spence confides in Maggie how he has dreamed of starting the legend of a haunting in his small town's cemetery, Knight's Knoll. When he actually tries to start the legend, his actions lead to unexpected mysterious and ghostly happenings that are out of his control. The townspeople begin to rediscover their ancestors, but Spence finds that he must struggle not only with the results of the Legend of Knight's Knoll, but his own inability to love.
