Amy Nemecek was awarded the 2021 Paraclete Poetry Prize for The Language of the Birds, which is her first published collection. She lives in West Michigan with her husband, their adult son, and two cats. When Amy isn't crafting words, she enjoys traveling to new places with her family and taking long walks in nature.
