Time vanished. I didn‘t know where I was. I found myself walking into anancient tea room. There she was, the Dragon Lady, most certainly adisguised Chan master, seated in the lotus meditation posture, serving tea.I could not take my eyes off her. There was a timeless quality about her. Thewrinkles on her face told me she was 85 years old or more.I sat there, intent, waiting for her to reveal the hidden message. Silence.She set everything in front of her, her mind totally absorbed. The thickcopper pot had a dragon engraved on one side. There was also a bamboobrush and a ceramic bowl, both of enormous simplicity.The fire simmered. We sat there quietly for 10 minutes. I was gettingrestless. Her eyelids were half closed.
