When Illiac, the chief of the Thieves' Guild, determines that this year's Gerann holiday will actually be the centennial celebration, he recalls a bedtime story about a princess who had been placed under a hundred years sleep spell. The intrepid thief and his company soon find their way into the briar-covered castle near the town of Gorbalthe and awaken the sleeping princess. Outside the gates, though, awaits a prince who claims that he, not Illiac, awoke the princess. Escalating events lead the thief, the princess and the Thieves' Guild into battle, complete with spies, traitors and a fire-breathing dragon, all hallmarks of a proper fairy tale. But where are the fairies?
