Director Jennifer Yuh Nelson's first live action film is an adaptation of Alexandra Bracken's dystopian young adult novel of the same name. Amandla Stenberg stars as Ruby Daly, a 16-year-old fugitive trying to outwit an oppressive government in a future where a pandemic has killed most of America's children and left the few surviving children with psychic powers.
