An excited Anneke hits the highway enroute to her first teaching job. She soon finds she loves it! But her husband becomes jealous and she must chose between her children and her career. Later, she lives in a cottage with a man who cooks her fabulous meals while she paints, but politics intervene. She becomes ill, discovers holistic healing, and prepares for an exhibition by looking back over her art, and life.
