Charlton's Sweethearts comic series was a thrilling and lurid entry in the romance comic genre. Tales of love, longing, betrayal and desire abound. It set the standard for romance comics. Sweethearts was originally published by Fawcett Comics and started with issue #68, picking up the numbering from where Captain Midnight ended. It has the notoriety of being the first romance comic published monthly. In 1954 Fawcett stopped publishing comics and Charlton picked up the title and some of the left over inventory stories. The first issue of the Charlton run was #122, where the Fawcett numbering had ended, then switched to number 23 the following issue. This volume collects Sweethearts #57-63
This book is available in bot hardcover and trade paperback version as well as in both full color and black & white
