Throughout the twentieth century the primacy of DNA seemed unshakeable. It was assumed our bodies simply wore out. Science is now beginning to show us that our lifestyle, thoughts and emotions send messages to our cells that cause biochemical changes. The rate of ageing can be controlled. It is the body that reads the mind, and not the other way round.
