Soils are an integral component of terrestrial ecosystems, playing a key role in maintaining the health of air and water ecosystems as well. The objectives of this book are to critically assess the impact of soil chemical and biogeochemical processes on ecosystem health, and to build a linkage between soil chemistry and other disciplines pertaining to ecosystem health.
