After her home is burned down by a horde of renegade Dragons, Shai and her Bonded Dragon, Nightwing, set off in search of the Rytzar, a group of warriors forming to stand up against the rising Darkness. Once they accept her they immediately assign her a mission: find the mastermind behind the attacks on Galathia's Dragon hatcheries and rescue the stolen Dragon eggs - eggs that are essential to win the upcoming war. With new companions and a resurfacing past best left hidden, Shai sets out on the greatest - and most dangerous - adventure she's ever faced. Along the way she is forced to face the reality of war and taste the sting of the losses of battle. Her mission quickly changes from a rescue to a race against time as their faceless enemy continues to elude them while striking them when they least expect it.
