For many of us, when we believe, receive, and make the decision to follow Jesus, we expect that our lives will fall into place.God promised to be with us, protect us, and answer our prayers, but instead, sometimes He feels distant, bad stuff happens to us, and He doesn't always seem to hear our prayers. So, what's the deal? Does any of this stuff really "work?" Why do we struggle with waiting patiently, grieving with hope, trusting God, spending time alone with Him and standing firm in our faith?The Apostle Paul says, "We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." What could he possibly mean? How are we to fix our eyes on the unseen? After all, the unseen is, well, invisible! However, when we see the unseen through the eyes of our hearts, our perspective on how we see and live our lives will change and we will be able to navigate, not only through peaceful times, but also through times of crises.
