It is useful to highlight the importance given nowadays to scientific journals in OJS (Open Journal Systems) at national and international level. But first we must describe briefly about free software. Free software is software that respects the freedom of the users and the community. Broadly speaking, it means that users have the freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, modify and improve the software. In other words, free software is a matter of freedom, not price (GNU, 2021).
