Passion's Fancy is a counted canvaswork piece worked on #18 mesh canvas using beads, metallic ribbon, metallic braids, coton perlé, hand dyed cotton and100% nylon tubular threads. The instructions are detailed for the beginner and the project is challenging for the advanced stitcher. In addition there is a Color Choice Challenge included for those interested in changing the provided color scheme. Passion's Fancy was originally developed as a group correspondence course and taught by Linda through a national needlework organization.The design incorporates many stitches including; Backstitch, Bead Attachment, Continental, Darning Variation, Fancy Couching, Fill-in Backstitch, Four-Way Continental, Laid Ribbon, Satin Stitch, Scotch Variation, Single Cross, Tied Triple Upright Cross, Upright Cross, and Vertical Straight Stitch,.The book includes: materials list, detailed chart of the entire project, individual stitch charts, clear instructions for all stitches, and step-out photos where appropriate. There are 58 charts, graphs, and photos in the book. Finishing information is included for attaching design to a basket, placing design into a box, and using design to create a custom purse. Purse instructions are detailed and include step-out photos (note: no sewing machine required). Passion's Fancy can also be finished by attaching the completed work to a tote bag or premade pillow, or having the piece matted and framed.
