Naomi Craigo was born in rural Putnam County, West Virginia in 1909. Her memoirs tell of life during coal's heyday, the 1918 flu epidemic, the Great Depression, two world wars, the introduction of electricity and telephones, and the happenings of her family and friends in her community. She lived 94 happy years—64 of them with her true love—and took the time to tell us about them.
