It was now my responsibility to keep track of everything she ate so we would know how much insulin to give her to keep her blood sugar as level as possible. I quickly learned it's hard to think like a pancreas. The blood sugar logs the hospital gave us were not working for us, so I created my own. My best friend helped my daughter with her mental health during this time by showing her techniques to stay in touch with her feelings. It is important to stay on track with your own and your child's mental health. We decided to combine our ideas to create this blood sugar/feelings log which includes ways to stay healthy physically and mentally.
