Beneath the floor of the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado lies an extensive aquifer, created by sediments from prehistoric Lake Alamosa. Like a farmer irrigating a crop from this underground source, Friends of the Southern Peaks Public Library have tapped creative literary and art work from patrons.
