A man who is accustomed to loneliness and sorrow, survives by rejecting promises of community and happiness. A fateful encounter with an elder threatens to shake the foundation of distrust which the man has come to rely on in order to stay grounded in his reality. That is, until a garden sows in him the courage to not only survive, but to live.
