Distance learning (EaD) is the fastest growing form of education in Brazil. It breaks down geographical barriers, brings people together, provides opportunities for professional development and qualification, and reduces social inequalities, as it reaches people of different ethnicities, beliefs, and territories, generating endless possibilities. DL has a mediator of knowledge, communication, and problem solving: the tutor. This is an important actor in distance learning (DL).
