Life was slowly getting back to normal for Kieran after he helped Waverly a few months ago. Perry was getting the Menagerie running better with the help of his new assistant, Ridley. But of course, sometimes things just happen that put a screw in your plans. Lysander shows up and brings Kieran to see Perry, and they find out that there is a new monster that escaped the zoo. Now they have to come up with a new plan on how to catch it and bring it back before it's too late.
