Fight Comics was an action and adventure anthology series published by Fiction House, debuting in January of 1940. Fight Comics starred tales of Sailor of fortune Shark Brodie, boxer Kayo Kirby,
underwater adventures with Kinks Mason, epics starring Big Red McLane-King of the Northwoods,
wild action with Oran of the Jungle, superhero sagas featuring Rip Regan-the Power Man and the aerial accounts of Chip Collins. As an added bonus, this volume has short biographies of boxers
Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Tony Gallento and Tony Canzoneri.
The artists and writers in this series included such Golden Age greats as Will Eisner, Lou Fine,
Maurice Gutwirth, Klaus Nordling, Fletcher Hanks and George Tuska. Fight Comics would ultimately last eighty-six issues. Retro Comic Reprints plans on collecting all of these issues so you don't need to worry about fighting to amassi all these amazing comics yourself.
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are eighty years old. Issue #3 has chunks out of the corner of the pages. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents. The stories here were created in a less enlightened time and there are some images that may offend modern readers.
