Evelie Mitchell declares it's her special day and dreams of finding a polka-dot puppy named Adeline. Her mom, Mrs. Mitchell, tries to make Evelie's wish come true by arranging a solid-colored puppy from a neighbor and adding temporary pink and purple dots. Evelie proudly shows off Adeline at the park, but the dots wash off when the puppy plays in a puddle. Evelie is upset until her mom explains that puppies lose their polka dots when they find a forever family. Happy and proud, Evelie takes Adeline home, ending her day with popcorn and puppy shows. Evelie dreams of another fun day next year-with a polka-dot horse!
