The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) received a request for a health hazard evaluation at a brewery in Colorado. The union submitted the request because of concerns about musculoskeletal disorders. Tasks requiring repetitive motions on the can line and in the bottle depalletization (depal) areas were thought to be the cause of these disorders. The NIOSH's findings and recommendations are discussed.
