Electoral corruption has long been a challenge to democratic consolidation in Bangladesh. This book examines the nature, causes, and consequences of electoral corruption with a special focus on the Ninth and Tenth Parliamentary Elections. Drawing on historical background, political theories, and case studies, it analyses how vote rigging, intimidation, misuse of state resources, and partisan administration undermine electoral integrity. The research highlights the political, social, and institutional factors that perpetuate these practices and evaluates their impact on governance, public trust, and political stability. By combining academic analysis with empirical evidence, this work seeks to contribute to the scholarly debate on electoral governance while offering recommendations for reforms to strengthen transparency, accountability, and democratic norms in Bangladesh.
