Tranquil yet haunting landscapes show a more secretive side to Venice
Beginning in 2001, artist Eduard Angeli (born 1942) began frequently visiting Venice, eventually settling in a house overlooking the Lido. His minimalist and enigmatic depictions, nearly devoid of any scenery, tell of a volatile, mysterious and timeless city.
