As Christians, we want life to be easy and pretty for us, but often it's the opposite: hard and messy. On July 7, 2007, my husband, David was injured on the job. He fell from the top of a machine, severing the fingers on his left hand when he grabbed the swinging door of the machine to keep from falling off. As the machine tipped, he fell 6 ft. onto a concrete floor, hitting his head, which resulted in a head injury. He also suffered from memory loss, and trauma.
