Life in Minnesota is much different than in Tennessee. Bib Harper and his family have been looking forward to a new life, but the political turmoil of the late 1960s could not be left behind. Through the eyes of eight-year-old Bib, we follow a course of events that ultimately turns their small Minnesota town violent. Will the Harper family and their whole town learn that love of family and personal pride can help them endure, or will they fall into disaster?
