, who played mandolin and sang high-tenor lead vocals, in the 1950s and early '60s (the brothers stopped performing together in 1963, two years before
Ira
's death in a terrible car accident).
Charlie
went on to a long solo career, and this set collects some of his highlights, including remakes of "I Don't Believe You've Met My Baby" (the original version was a number one hit for
the Louvin Brothers
in 1956) and "Cash on the Barrel Head" (the original by
