For more than four decades, Michael O’Loughlin has hiked the trails & glaciers of our northern hemisphere’s mountains, camera and notepad in hand. Those peaks – from the eastern Smokies, White, Green, and Adirondack mountains to the western Rockies – have reappeared in the verse of four books, of which Breath Beyond Death is the latest. His themes encompass, not only the majesty of our wilderness sanctuaries, but also the psychological and spiritual facets of human reactions to beauty, fear, fatigue and triumph. Recently, Mike’s focus has been captivated by the surreal settings of Sedona, AZ, where he and three friends are planning a climb in September of 2012.
