Nothing ever seems to be easy for Betsy Morgan. She's starting high school, and that makes taking care of her little sisters more difficult. It also means figuring out her place in a new building with new classmates, harder courses, and school dances. Unfortunately, none of these things seem to be keeping Stan and Richey from acting immature. Not only do they abuse the teleporters given to them last year, but they manage to land themselves and Betsy in detention the first day of school. As if things couldn't become any more complicated, Professor Gyrus shows up at Braderwood Regional High School and tells Betsy and her friends they have to come to Amphus. Upon their arrival, Betsy and the boys are reunited with Bryan, Patricia, Orbito, and General Sulcus. What they learn next makes all of Betsy's problems seem trivial. But what scares Betsy the most is her role in helping to keep the Universe safe.
