A helpless street dog named Hershey who was born on Dead Dog Beach in the ruins of Puerto Rico. Born a Sato/or street dog, he learned to survive in unfathomable conditions alone. Basic needs of food, water, shelter were minimal. His tenacious need to survive made it possible to trust a human enough to be caught at 7 months old and live in a shelter until he was adopted by our daughter who was going through social-emotional turmoil herself.
