It was near the end of the second World War. People in Korea were still in the midst of war. Either they were conscripted or became refuges moving all over the country. By the end of July, there was a rumor about the arrival of Allied Forces in an area near the West Sea. On top of that, the Soviets announced their participation in the war against the Japanese. Things were looking good for Korean people. People started to talk about the eventual defeat of the Japanese military. Now, the day of their independece was coming closer.
