This report is in response to Section 646 of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act, 2001, as contained in Public Law 106-554 Consolidated Appropriations Act. Section 646 requires the Inspector General to submit a report to Congress that discloses DoD activity on collecting, sharing, and reviewing personally identifiable information about individuals and their viewing habits at Government web sites.
