Two railroad depots are still standing in Longmont. This book explores their history in the development of the city and gives information about depots in general as they existed in the West. Biographies of representative depot agents and tales of events recorded in local papers are included. The book is written to help readers understand why it is important to preserve these tangible artifacts of history.
