Wrist-banded demon riders are invading the Kingdom and Nomin has been chosen to save the Divine's folk, but he languishes in an enchanter's dungeon. He has been collared by a witch band and although he has lost most of his memories he still resists his demon. Lord Salamander's niece, Jane, who has just been taken by demon riders, is also being held at the Keep. Her uncle, the King's Battle Lord is coming to rescue her and he never lets the witch-banded live.
