Written before the first World War, its themes of corruption and the effect of the 20th Century on British aristocracy.Romance, written in 1903, was the second of the colaborations, and one in which their differences started to surface. In fact, there are parts of the novels where the characters seem to talk, in reality, to the other writer, which made this a very interesting reading.
