As soon as he took off for the garage, I twirled around in front of the big picture mirror that covered the south wall of the living room. As a young girl, I had always hated this mirror, and after seeing all my imperfections, now, I hated it even more. I sat down on the oversized, outdated couch, picked up the remote, and switched on the TV.
