Lee Robert is an impressionist poet, with a unique and expressive style. He touches readers on a personal level because he captures life's experiences so vividly. Lee's work has been shaped by his writing studies in the U.S. and France. While in France he cultivated a French impressionist style in his poetry, tinged with a French philosopher's perspective. His world view as reflected in his work has also been shaped by decades of Buddhist study and lifestyle which heightened his senses and finely tuned his poetic voice. The many references to South Florida reflect his growing up there with an adventurous spirit and adrenaline junky life. In its essence, his work is a blend of comedy and tragedy, action and contemplation, and experience and impression. He has four collections of poems including, “Word Pictures,” a collection of purely impressionist poetry and “Poelitical, We're In A Lot Of Trouble,” a poet's political perspectives. And two collections still in progress are “Poetry in the Park,” poems about the images and experiences of America's parks and “A Guided Journey,” an exploration of life’s spiritual journey in poetry.
