The objectives of the study were to: (I) identify the extent of participation by women in agricultural Income Generating Activities (IGAs) for their poverty alleviation and (II) to find out the relationship between the selected characteristics of the respondents and their participation in those activities. The study was conducted at Gazipur Sadar Upazila of Gazipur District. An interview schedule was used to collect needed information through face to face interview. One hundred and twenty one respondents were selected from seven female village organizations on the basis of cluster sampling. Statistical measurements like frequency count, percentage, range, mean, standard deviations were used to interpret the data. Coefficient of correlation was computed in order to explore the relationships between the selected variables.
