sees the iconic girl group deliver one of their most cohesive efforts to date, offering a six-track collection of bright and upbeat pop hits. Opting for a more mellow vocal approach, the group's 13th mini-album finds its strength primarily in its B-sides: "You Get Me" delivers on its sugary, nostalgic narratives of true love, "New New" falls into an easy summer with its heightened piano-house chorus, and "Bloom" neatly layers the girls' minty vocals with a garage-esque breakbeat. The peak of the project comes is the third track, "Rush," which sees the girls follow K-pop's 2020s experimentation with drum-and-bass fusion; their intoxicating "I need to feel your rush" chorus is played deftly against tinkling cowbells and searching synth plucks. Alongside lead single "One Spark," the mini-album also includes the group's third original English-language single, "I Got You," which entered the Top Ten in Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. ~ David Crone
