Winny The Counting Horse

Many children develop a special interest at one point or another. Some may learn everything there is to know about dinosaurs or trains, while others love dogs, or science. A child's peers and even the adults in their life may make them feel unaccepted for having an unusual interest. In particular, children in the Autism Spectrum may experience social isolation as a result of having a unique fascination. Winny the horse loves to count more than other horses do. Winny counts everything around him! This story is meant to celebrate children's special interests, and help them to view their own as a strength, rather than a deficit.
