Caleb and Anna are separated but marching towards the sounds of the guns. Anna is hidden as her Grandfather Elias, serving in the Fourth West Virginia Infantry, heading to Vicksburg.
Fate puts Anna in the Second West Virginia Cavalry. Caleb, searching for his sister, joins the Seventh West Virginia Infantry, Caleb's travel takes him to Fredericksburg and Gettysburg. Together Anna and Caleb marched in the Grand Parade up Pennsylvania Avenue. This is Anna and Caleb's story.
