Maverick just finished his last year of high school. His escape west to Montana leads him to himself—The Green, The Dark, and The Quiet—in an effort to define his own "Why?" in the world. With Dax and Sully, the town of Whitefish provides an oasis in the woods of Glacier Park, leaving the three to their own devices in alcohol, in trees, and in each other.
