What Time is Sunrise? in Bloomington, MN

Inspired by unsolved crimes in America in the 1990's and 2000's including the mystery of the JonBenet Ramsey murder. The fictional short story is centered around the Jones family during the events of a modern day New Year's Eve. It sheds light on the American family culture and values of the current time that may still resonate with the past. The narrative takes the reader inside the minds of the matriarch and patriarch, Claire and Thomas Jones as well as their two children, Chase and Justine, over a series of events culminating in the unexpected. The reader will delve into a thought provoking perspective of the American family dynamics and the relationships between spouses, parents and children. Alongside the characters, the reader will be asked to observe the influences on human emotion and behavior in times of happiness, joy, difficulty, stress, uncertainty, doubt and desperation.
